Novartis - da Vinci style

An agency commissioned me to create this image. The original illustrator was unable to re-create his drawing. I hand-drew the linework and then scanned and brought it into a Photoshop file.

I then created the aged paper in Photoshop. I did scan various stained pieces of paper and imported those into the paper effect. I studied da Vinci’s backwards writing and then re-created my own using calligraphy pens, scanning and importing those. In the end the agency dropped the faux script. I went on to then do a heart and brain in a similar fashion.

All in all a challenging but enjoyable project using my traditional and digital skills.
